What Are CBD Capsules & How Are They Made?
Let’s take a closer look at what, exactly, CBD capsules are and what goes into them.
Softgels, Pills & Tablets Explained
Whether you call them CBD capsules, pills, tablets or softgels, the product is the same: round or cylindrical CBD edibles. These products contain a consistent dosage of CBD, and often have complementary ingredients that help target them for a specific purpose (such as additional CBN for sleep capsules). Whatever the name, CBD capsules give you all the calming wellness properties of CBD in a small, convenient pill form. Our capsule products are available in 30 or 60 count bottles with different concentrations and formulations to suit your needs.
Extraction & Full-Spectrum vs Broad Spectrum
If you look closely at your bottle of CBD capsules, you’ll see that it tells you the type of CBD used in your product. For instance, full spectrum CBD is the CBD oil that is initially extracted from the hemp plant, containing all of the plant’s cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. Because there is a tiny amount of THC in that extract, some folks prefer broad spectrum CBD, which is the exact same oil as full spectrum, only detectable levels of THC have been filtered out (along with some of the other content). Still, broad spectrum is a robust and powerful oil. CBD isolate is CBD with all other hemp content removed (99% pure).
Complementary Ingredients (CBN, CBG, Sleep Aids & More)
CBD is certainly a powerful wellness compound on its own, but sometimes we add other ingredients to the mix in order to address specific needs. For instance, our Night Capsules also contain CBN (“the ultimate relaxation cannabinoid”), as well as sleep terpenes, valerian root, GABA, and magnesium—all to deliver a great night’s rest.** Our Morning Capsules, on the other hand, contain CBG (“the Mother of All Cannabinoids”), caffeine, L-tyrosine, and a focus blend of terpenes to give you focused energy throughout the day.**
